Meeting athletes at their own needs and ensuring they participate at their own level allows them to feel success and enjoy being active.

Athletes with Intellectual Disabilities who participate in sports, such as tennis:

  • develop vital social skills and independence
  • forge friendships outside of their families and inner circle
  • build self-confidence
  • have an increased awareness of their own potential

Hear from other parents

ATANC gives our tennis athletes a chance to enjoy playing tennis all year long. My son loves seeing all of his tennis friends. He has a great time playing tennis, and always leaves the courts with a huge smile. As a parent, it is heartwarming to see my son enjoying the company of caring coaches and terrific teammates.
