Join the fun and learn to play tennis. All levels from beginner to advanced. Practice includes drills, lessons, and match play. Clinics are given by specially trained coaches and are open for all persons ages 8 and up with intellectual disabilities.

2026 Fall Schedule

Abilities Tennis offers weekly tennis clinics at the Althea Gibson Tennis Complex in Wilmington. In the fall, we are pleased to offer Special Olympics/Abilities Tennis clinics in partnership with Special Olympics New Hanover County.

Fall Clinics will take place every Thursday.

• Full, Short, and Skills Court Athletes - 4:30-5:30 PM

• Match play for yellow and green ball athletes available 5:30-6:00 PM

ALL athletes and volunteers are asked to sign up [link coming] for each clinic. Please try to sign up at least four days ahead of each clinic unless you are signing up for all at once.
