In 2025, ATANC impacted over 4,000 individuals, including athletes, volunteers, coaches, and families, through its clinics, tournaments, and events across North Carolina. The organization hosted six statewide tournaments, including a national tournament and a qualifier for the USTA National Adaptive Tournament. Twenty-four Abilities athletes showcased inclusive tennis with a special exhibition at Arthur Ashe Stadium during the 2025 US Open, while two ATANC unified doubles teams and one singles player competed at the National Adaptive Tournament in Orlando. ATANC expanded its Abilities Access Grant program by providing seven grants to help athletes and groups travel to tournaments beyond their local areas. The organization launched a new clinic in Charlotte and formalized its Abilities Tennis OnSite program, bringing tennis to more than 300 athletes across seven Raleigh locations and one in Winston-Salem. Four ATANC coaches helped lead the Court of Dreams Adaptive Clinic at the US Open. ATANC raised $171,000 through successful fundraisers and was recognized as the Community Tennis Association (CTA) of the Year by Racquet Sports Industry (RSI) Magazine, while also receiving a generous grant from Madison Keys’s Kindness Wins Foundation. Executive Director Lou Welch completed a six-month USTA Community Development Leadership Program and continues to serve on the NC Tennis Foundation board and adaptive committees for USTA NC, USTA Southern, and USTA National.
